We are passionate about the power of sport here at relate, and for good reason. When youth are given the opportunity to play sports, the effect is lasting and goes far beyond the field. As a collective we all benefit when sport participation levels are increased. Sports have the power provide more opportunity to those who participate, and strengthen social capital.
Ernst & Young surveyed 821 high-level executives and found that 90% of women surveyed played sports. Among women currently holding a C-suite position, this proportion rose to 96%. When we invest in sports - we invest in so much more than success on the field. More on that survey can be found here.
